Security Guard Stabbed at Igriș Stadium in Romania

In the early hours of 2 August 2026, a security guard was attacked with a knife at an event held on the stadium in the village of Igriș, Timiș County, Romania. Two men who had been denied entry to the venue confronted the guard, assaulted him and one of them thrust a knife into his body. The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.

Police quickly identified and located the two suspects, who were brought to police custody for questioning. The investigation is being coordinated by the Romanian Police under the direction of the prosecutor from the Sânnicolau Mare District Court. Authorities are working to determine the full circumstances of the incident and to apply the appropriate legal measures.
