Security guards in Rawalpindi protest unpaid wages at Blue World Society

Security guards at the Blue World Society on Chakri Road in Rawalpindi have protested after failing to receive their salaries for four months. The society, which spans approximately 38 square kilometers, employs over 350 guards through three different security companies.

Security company owners claim the society has not released payments for four months, leaving the guards in a dire financial state. The guards, who earn monthly salaries between 20,000 and 22,000 PKR, have reported receiving food quality that is ‘worse than that given to animals.’

The owner of the society is Chaudhry Naeem, a Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) for the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and a Parliamentary Secretary. The protesting guards have called upon Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to take strict notice of the MPA’s actions and ensure the immediate payment of their outstanding wages.
