Security heightened in Sirajganj for Jail Killing Day

Police in Sirajganj have increased surveillance and patrols to maintain law and order ahead of Jail Killing Day on November 3. Special operations, including searches of long-distance vehicles and motorcycles, have been conducted in areas such as Mahishamura Bazar to prevent unrest.

Authorities are specifically monitoring to ensure that no gatherings or disruptions are organized by the banned Awami League. Local members of the BNP, Jubo Dal, and Volunteer Dal have also maintained a presence at strategic locations to prevent untoward incidents.

Jail Killing Day commemorates the 1975 killing of four national leaders of independent Bangladesh, including Syed Nazrul Islam and Tajuddin Ahmad, at Dhaka Central Jail.
