Security infrastructure expands in Jalisco and Tlaxcala
Authorities in Jalisco and Tlaxcala are expanding surveillance networks to enhance public safety. In Guadalajara, the Secretariat of Transport and C5 Escudo Jalisco have installed 20 new video surveillance cameras at the Antigua Central Camionera. This brings the total to 25 cameras connected to the state security system. The upgrade includes panic buttons at the terminal's perimeter and entrances to facilitate rapid police intervention. The terminal serves up to 4,000 passengers daily on various routes.
In Tlaxcala, Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros inaugurated the Mazatecochco Control and Command Center (C2). This marks the 48th operational center in the state, part of a plan to establish 60 centers across all municipalities. The new facility involved an investment of over 6 million pesos and includes more than 30 cameras. The state government reports having invested 10 billion pesos in public security to improve infrastructure, technology, and police professionalization.
