Security leaders to discuss US-Israel defense ties at New York summit

The Israel Hayom Summit is scheduled for November 11 in New York, featuring prominent security figures such as former Mossad Director Dedi Barnea. The event will focus on the evolving threat landscape and the security cooperation between Israel and the United States, which has seen significant developments including joint military operations against Iranian-linked infrastructure.

Internal US deliberations regarding defense cooperation have also surfaced, highlighting tensions within the administration. David Milstein, a senior adviser to US Ambassador to Jerusalem Mike Huckabee, reportedly faced criticism for his aggressive advocacy to incorporate the Israeli defense contractor Rafael into the US ‘Golden Dome’ missile-defense initiative. Critics have expressed concerns regarding his diplomatic style and his approach to US intelligence and security prerogatives.
