Security concerns are rising in Brazilian commercial sectors following a burglary in Presidente Prudente and strategic security meetings in Várzea Grande.

In Presidente Prudente, a decoration and mattress store was broken into early Saturday morning. An intruder, wearing a delivery person's backpack, smashed a glass door to steal a notebook and two mobile phones. The incident was captured by security cameras, and the Civil Police are currently investigating the case using forensic evidence and video footage.

Meanwhile, in Várzea Grande, municipal guards, military police, and specialized robbery and theft investigators met with local merchants to strengthen regional protection. Discussions focused on expanding video monitoring through the 'Vigia Mais MT' program and increasing preventive patrols during both business hours and nighttime. Authorities emphasized the importance of formal crime reporting to help identify criminal patterns and improve resource allocation.
