Security measures and traffic restrictions planned for V4 Summit in Trencin

The upcoming V4 Summit in Trencin, hosted by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, will necessitate significant security measures and traffic restrictions. Key topics for the summit include European Union expansion, support for Ukraine, and energy availability. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is also expected to attend.

Local authorities have announced several disruptions to movement in the city center. On November 4, Palackého Street will face parking bans and a total closure to vehicular traffic from 15:00 to 21:00. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be restricted in certain areas near the synagogue and Piarist Church during this window. Additionally, Matúšova Street will be completely closed to all vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians from 07:00 to 15:00 on November 5.

Police will control all entrances to Mierové námestie until 15:00 on November 4, and regular supply deliveries will be prohibited between 05:00 and 09:30. Residents and visitors are advised to follow temporary signage and police instructions to mitigate delays.
