Security operations intensify in Aden as Lebanon calls for global counter-terrorism cooperation

Security forces in Aden, Yemen, have launched an intensive deployment across various districts to enhance stability and public order. Under the direction of Major General Mutahar Ali Naji Al-Shuaibi, the operation includes establishing checkpoints and patrols on main and secondary roads. Measures being enforced include the restriction of motorcycle movement, the seizure of unlicensed weapons, and the impounding of unregistered vehicles to reduce lawlessness.

In a separate security development, Major General Edgar Lounds, Director General of State Security in Lebanon, participated in the fourth Baku Security Forum in Azerbaijan. Addressing the forum, Lounds emphasized that terrorism knows no borders and requires international cooperation to combat complex financing methods, such as digital currencies and smuggling networks. He proposed the creation of a permanent security cooperation mechanism based on mutual trust and information exchange to counter digital extremism and global terrorist networks.
