Seda Sayan denies social media claims regarding unfiltered photo
Turkish artist Seda Sayan has issued a sharp rebuke following the viral spread of a photograph on social media that was falsely claimed to be her unmasked and unfiltered appearance.
Sayan clarified that the woman in the image is not her, stating, “This is a picture of a woman who has nothing to do with me.” Her close friend, Safiye Soyman, also intervened to support her, claiming the image had been digitally manipulated.
The controversy, which prompted discussions regarding artificial intelligence and visual manipulation, led the Instagram account responsible for the initial post to issue an apology. The account stated it shared the image believing it was a natural look of the artist and expressed regret over the misunderstanding.
