Sedes reorganizes Santa Cruz hospitals to reduce patient queues

The Departmental Health Service (Sedes) is implementing a reorganization process for third-level hospitals in Santa Cruz de la Sierra to address long queues and reduce patient wait times.

Technical teams conducted inspections at the San Juan de Dios Hospital, the Japanese Hospital, and the Blood Bank to identify bottlenecks in service organization and patient flow. Iván Boker, head of the Emergency Control Center, noted that many patients arrive as early as 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. to complete administrative tasks. The initiative aims to detect areas of high congestion and establish concrete measures to streamline processes and ensure more timely care.
