SEDIF Morelos completes adoptions of two minors

The System for Integral Family Development of the State of Morelos (SEDIF), through the Office for the Protection of Girls, Boys, Adolescents, and the Family (Pronaf), has finalized the adoption of a 12-year-old adolescent and a 5-year-old girl. Both minors have been integrated into families certified as suitable by the institution.

SEDIF official Kenia Lugo Delgado noted that resolving legal statuses is critical for minors in residential care, as prolonged institutionalization impacts their development differently than adults. The institution provides legal, psychological, and social accompaniment to ensure decisions prioritize the rights and needs of children and adolescents.
