SEDIF Puebla delivers adapted transport units for people with disabilities

The President of the Patronato del Sistema Estatal para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (SEDIF) in Puebla, Ceci Arellano, led the delivery of four adapted transport units through the Sistema de Transporte Adaptado para Personas con Discapacidad (SITRADIF). The vehicles were donated by the Sistema Nacional DIF (SNDIF) with a total investment of 9.3 million pesos.

The units, consisting of three medium vans and one larger capacity vehicle, are designated for the municipalities of Chalchicomula de Sesma, San Martín Texmelucan, Tlacotepec de Benito Juárez, and Palmar de Bravo. These vehicles are equipped with hydraulic and electric ramps, as well as specialized fastening and anchoring systems to secure wheelchairs during transit.

According to SEDIF Director General Carlos Ochoa Rodríguez, the transport is intended to facilitate safe and dignified mobility for individuals with reduced mobility, ensuring easier access to medical appointments and rehabilitation services.
