Pará announces 2,000+ education vacancies and Círio essay contest

The Government of Pará has released the official notice for a major public civil service exam organized by the State Secretariat of Education (Seduc-PA). The selection process offers over 2,000 immediate vacancies and the formation of a reserve list for various positions, including teachers, education specialists, and administrative staff. The exams will be conducted by the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and will be held across 25 regional education directorates to facilitate participation throughout the state.

Registration for the Seduc-PA exam begins on August 31 and runs until October 1, 2026. Salaries for certain roles are expected to reach up to R$ 6,500. The exam covers multiple disciplines, including mathematics, Portuguese, history, and biology, as well as specialized roles for indigenous education and special education.

In addition to the professional recruitment, the Diretoria da Festa de Nazaré has opened registrations for the XXXII Círio 2026 Essay Contest. This competition is open to high school students from both public and private schools in Pará. The theme for this year is ‘Maria, Missionária que nos dá Jesus’, with the exam scheduled for September 20, 2026, in Belém.
