Seedance AI video platform sees Buzzy's 2.5 launch and ByteDance's 2.0 market dominance

Buzzy announced the Release of the Seedance 2.5 model on its Seedance‑2‑5.ai platform. The new AI video system supports 4K resolution, up to 30‑second clips, improved scene continuity and the ability to reference up to 50 images. Features such as an infinite canvas, angle switching and lighting control are aimed at creators, marketers and production teams seeking longer‑form, high‑quality AI‑generated videos. Founder Ella Zhang said the model “provides creators with a more production‑ready workflow, featuring sharper outputs, longer clips, and improved continuity within single‑generated scenes.”

ByteDance’s Seedance 2.0 has become the leading AI video generation tool in China. According to the company’s Volcengine MaaS platform, the model now accounts for more than half of 2026 MaaS revenue and reports gross margins of 70‑90 %. Its market lead stems from a large‑scale architecture (around 200 billion parameters) built on a DiT framework and a compact engineering team. Integration with ByteDance’s content platforms such as Douyin and Red Fruit fuels demand, creating a self‑reinforcing cycle of AI‑generated content and ad revenue. The success marks a shift for Chinese tech firms toward profitable, large‑scale AI models.
