Seegene showcases syndromic PCR testing strategy at LMCE 2026

Seegene, a global molecular diagnostics company, presented its comprehensive testing strategy and infectious disease portfolio at the Laboratory Medicine Conference & Exhibition (LMCE 2026) held in Seoul. The company focused on syndromic PCR testing, a method designed to simultaneously detect multiple pathogens that cause similar symptoms, allowing for the identification of both the primary cause and potential co-infections.

During a symposium, Dr. Ninad Mehta from the University of Saskatchewan shared early clinical evaluation results of Seegene’s next-generation respiratory panels. Dr. Mehta noted that the technology successfully identified co-infection cases that had been missed by conventional testing methods.

In addition to respiratory panels, Seegene exhibited its molecular diagnostics automation system, ‘Seegene STARlet-AIOS’, and showcased testing solutions for various conditions, including HPV, genital infections, gastrointestinal infections, meningitis, and mpox.
