Seek Ltd shares plunge 14% following FY26 results

Seek Ltd shares fell 14% following the release of its FY26 financial results. Despite the share price drop, the company reported several areas of growth, including a 17% increase in sales revenue to $1.284 billion and a 28% jump in adjusted profit to $199 million. The company also declared a record annual dividend of 52 cents per share, a 13% increase.

The company achieved its sixth consecutive year of double-digit yield growth across the Asia-Pacific region. However, job advertisement volumes were softer in Australia and certain Asian markets, such as Hong Kong, due to weaker economic conditions.

While the company reported a statutory net loss of $307 million, much of this was attributed to significant items, including a $201 million net loss from the Seek Growth Fund and a $356 million impairment charge related to its Zhaopin investment. Investors appeared to react to the lower-end guidance for FY27 and the decline in job ad volumes.
