SEF Smart Electronic Factory to showcase AI-driven manufacturing at EFX

The SEF Smart Electronic Factory e. V. will demonstrate a digitized and AI-supported value chain at the EFX – Expo for Electronics Manufacturing in Stuttgart, scheduled for October 6–8, 2026.

Through a live use case titled “From Quote to Delivery,” member companies will showcase an end-to-end digital process for electronics orders. This includes automated quotation, material procurement, production planning, assembly, quality assurance, and shipping. The demonstration aims to show how data can flow seamlessly across system boundaries without the need for manual re-entry at individual stations.

Participating companies include dikon Elektronik & IT, DUALIS, iTAC, Limtronik, OPTIMUM datamanagement solution, Perzeptron, PS Industry, and znt-Richter. The process begins with customer inquiries in Limtronik’s ERP system, utilizing ODB++ data for bill of materials and manufacturing information. This is integrated with znt-Richter’s BOM-Connector to facilitate material requests and cost calculations.
