SEFAS Group to acquire 100% of Shell gas station business in Indonesia
SEFAS Group has reached an agreement to acquire 100% of Shell's gas station business in Indonesia. The transaction is expected to be finalized within the current year, pending regulatory approval and the fulfillment of standard conditions.
SEFAS Group, which is already the largest distributor of Shell lubricants in Indonesia, stated that this acquisition is a strategic move to expand its presence in the country's energy retail sector. CEO Ricky Roesli noted that local ownership will provide a strong foundation for the company's future business development and support Indonesia's growing energy needs.
Shell Indonesia's President Director, Andri Pratiwa, highlighted SEFAS's long-term partnership with Shell and its deep understanding of the local market as key factors in the transition. Following the completion of the deal, the Shell brand will remain visible at the gas station network through a licensing agreement, ensuring continuity for customers and employees.
