SEGA and Creative Assembly announce Total War: SHOGUN 2 Complete Edition

SEGA and Creative Assembly have announced the release of Total War: SHOGUN 2 – Complete Edition, scheduled for October 13, 2026. This definitive version of the strategy classic will be available on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.

The Complete Edition bundles the original game with all previously released downloadable content, including the ‘Rise of the Samurai’ and ‘Fall of the Samurai’ campaigns. These cover over 700 years of Japanese history, from the Genpei War to the Boshin War.

Technical enhancements for modern hardware include a 64-bit upgrade, improved lighting, shadows, and textures, and support for 1440p and 4K UI scaling. The update also introduces full Japanese and Chinese voice acting and text localization, modernized controls, ultrawide monitor support, and integrated mod support via Mod.io. Additionally, the edition will feature over 50 newly playable minor factions.
