SEGA announces 3 million sales for Sonic X Shadow Generations

SEGA has announced that Sonic X Shadow Generations has surpassed three million units sold worldwide across all platforms.

The title features a new standalone story campaign centered on Shadow the Hedgehog, where players utilize new abilities to confront the character Black Doom. The game also includes a complete remaster of Sonic Generations, offering upgraded visuals and bonus content for both 2D and 3D stages.

Originally released on Nintendo Switch in October 2024, the game later saw a release for Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025. The experience includes an expansive hub world inspired by the open-zone gameplay seen in Sonic Frontiers.
