SEGA announces Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds updates as Nintendo ends Mario Kart Tour

SEGA has announced new content for the second year of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. The upcoming updates include Bayonetta as the first free character of this new phase, featuring the ‘Butterfly Witch’ vehicle, special emotes, and unique sounds. Additionally, new gameplay footage has been released for the Godzilla and EVANGELION DLC packs, which were previously announced during Summer Game Fest 2026.

Further details regarding the Year Two presentation are expected during a livestream on October 9, coinciding with the World Championship Finals. The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, as well as Nintendo Switch platforms.

Separately, Nintendo has confirmed that the mobile game Mario Kart Tour will officially end its service on September 30, 2026, at 08:00 CEST. The company will host a final ‘Anniversary Tour’ as a thank-you to the community before all online services for the title are discontinued. Nintendo stated that no standalone offline version is planned for the game.
