SEGA Dreamcast Receives New Native Game 'White Creek' 25 Years After Launch

Indie developer Story Bird Studios and publisher PixelHeart have released **White Creek**, a horror‑survival title designed to run on the original SEGA Dreamcast hardware without emulation. The game follows exorcist Alicia Morelli as she investigates supernatural violence in a small town, using psychic powers, firearms and a mobile phone to solve puzzles and confront possessed victims.

The Dreamcast, launched by Japan's SEGA in November 1998 (worldwide in 1999) and discontinued in March 2001, has maintained a niche following among retro enthusiasts. Its early technical features, such as an integrated modem, have helped sustain interest, enabling new releases like **White Creek** 25 years after the console ceased production.
