Sega opens first Kansai flagship store in Osaka
Sega has opened its first permanent flagship store in the Kansai region, named ‘SEGA STORE OSAKA’, located on the 6th floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO. This follows the opening of the company’s first domestic flagship store in Tokyo in July 2025.
The new location serves as a hub for Sega’s transmedia strategy, an initiative supported by the establishment of a dedicated Transmedia Business Division in April 2024. The goal is to expand the company’s 65 years of intellectual property (IP) beyond video games into various media and consumer products.
The store features exclusive merchandise, including Osaka-themed items such as a Sonic the Hedgehog collection designed by artist Kosuke Kawamura and Takoyaki-themed goods featuring characters from the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series. An opening ceremony was held on October 1, attended by Sega executives Shuji Utsumi and Justin Scalpone.
