Sega releases 100‑track Jun Senoue playlist celebrating Sonic music

Sega has launched a 100‑track collection titled “Jun Senoue: Essential Works”, now streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. The playlist runs about five and a half hours and features music from the Sonic the Hedgehog series spanning the 1990s to recent titles, as well as tracks from other Sega games such as Daytona USA Circuit Edition, Sega Rally 2, Victory Goal and Puyo Puyo.

Jun Senoue, who joined Sega in 1993 and first scored Sonic 3, went on to compose for Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Generations and the latest Sonic X Shadow Generations. He also founded and fronts the rock band Crush 40, responsible for many vocal tracks in the franchise. The playlist is the second entry in Sega’s Essential Works series, following a similar 100‑track release for sound director Tomoya Ohtani, and is part of Sega’s broader effort to revive its classic catalogue across music, film and fashion.
