SEGA launches Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Year Two with Godzilla DLC

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds SEGA Godzilla Pack Duel Mode video game update

SEGA has officially commenced the second year of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds with the release of the Godzilla Pack DLC and a major version 2.0.0 update. The Godzilla Pack introduces a new Godzilla Escape course, themed music tracks, and three specialized vehicles: the Godzilla Cruiser, Mothra Surf Machine, and King Ghidorah Coupe.

The free 2.0.0 update introduces Duel Mode, a 1-on-1 competitive format available both online and offline. This mode features a Duel Boost mechanic that allows players to gain bursts of speed by filling a gauge through time and item usage. Additionally, the update adds the Super Slot, a seventh gadget slot that amplifies the effects of equipped items. This feature is unlocked via the Grand Master Plate after 40 races.

Other gameplay additions include 15 new gadgets, new missions, and expanded online features such as Ranked and Free matches. Players can also unlock the character Bayonetta by defeating CPU rivals in the offline Rival Duel mode. A limited-time Godzilla Festival event is scheduled to run from November 6 to November 16, offering exclusive in-game rewards.
