Sega to auction Shadow the Hedgehog motorcycle for charity

Sega is auctioning the custom "Dark Rider" motorcycle used in its "2024 Fearless: Year of Shadow" promotional campaign. The vehicle, which features the signature red-and-black color scheme of the character Shadow the Hedgehog, will be sold by Bonhams during The Autumn Stafford Sale on October 10-11, 2026.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Luca Guintoli Foundation. Founded by French World Superbike Champion Sylvain Guintoli in memory of his son, the nonprofit provides financial, educational, and practical support to children in England and Wales dealing with autism or cancer.

Manufactured by Bourget's Bike Works in collaboration with several partners, the motorcycle is equipped with a 1,750cc S&S Super Stock engine and an Ultimate six-speed gearbox. However, the bike is designed for static display and is not currently operable, as its fuel tank is a foam dummy.
