SEGA to showcase Kalanoro at Tokyo Game Show 2026
SEGA will showcase the upcoming action-adventure game ‘Kalanoro’ at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21. Developed by Madagascar-based Red Raketa Studio and co-published by New Tales, the title is scheduled for release on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
Set in the world of Lemuria and inspired by Malagasy folklore, players control the protagonist, Kalakely. The combat system features a unique blend of long-range attacks using the character's hair and melee combat utilizing improvised weapons like frying pans or carrots.
Beyond combat, the game includes management and social elements. Players will assemble a band of lemur artists, bond with them through communication and cooking, and perform on increasingly larger stages to protect the island from the witch Raneny. Visitors to the SEGA/ATLUS booth during the public days (September 19–21) can participate in a playable demo and receive an exclusive sticker.
