Sege road accident: 22 injured after Sprinter bus overturns

Approximately 22 people, including the driver, were injured when a Sprinter bus overturned at Sege on Friday, October 9, 2026. The accident occurred around 11:30 hours while the vehicle was traveling from Aflao to Accra.

An eyewitness reported that the accident was caused by a burst in the left rear tyre, leading the driver to lose control. The vehicle was reportedly heavily loaded with goods in the boot and on the roof, which may have contributed to excessive tyre pressure.

Emergency responders from the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service, along with local residents, assisted at the scene. The injured individuals were transported to the Sege Polyclinic for medical treatment.
