Segen and Zopa Bank launch UK residential solar financing

Segen, a UK solar distributor, has launched a new residential financing product in partnership with Zopa Bank. The service allows homeowners to finance solar and battery installations through loans ranging from two to 10 years, with a representative annual percentage rate (APR) of 9.9%.

The financing is integrated into Segen’s digital proposal platform, enabling installers to offer loans to customers during the sales process. This model aims to reduce upfront hardware costs for installers, as Segen handles the hardware costs and disburses final payments to installers once the homeowner signs off on the completed work.

This residential offering follows a previous partnership between Segen Finance and BNP Paribas, which focused on the commercial and industrial segments.
