Segovia announces contemporary music festival with 20 premieres

The XXXIV Segovia Contemporary Music Days will take place from November 6, 2026, to May 8, 2027, across various venues in Segovia. Organized by the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (CNDM) and the Fundación Don Juan de Borbón, the festival features seven concerts exploring modern music through themes such as Spanish female composers, minimalism, and Ibero-American voices.

The program includes 20 absolute premieres, nine of which were commissioned by the CNDM and the Festival de Música Española de Cádiz. Notable performances include an opening by the Segovia Symphony Orchestra and Quique Mago, as well as an organ concert at the Segovia Cathedral featuring new works by Eduardo Lorenzo in honor of Francisco Correa de Arauxo.
