Segovia province and Mota del Cuervo highlight historic attractions in new tourism campaigns

The Diputación of Segovia launched its third tourism campaign, "Un mundo entero por descubrir," presented by president Miguel Ángel de Vicente. The promotion spotlights four destinations – the Palacio de La Granja, the medieval town of Ayllón, the Valle del Pirón, and the Sierra de Guadarrama – drawing comparisons with renowned sites such as Versailles, Provence, Cantabria and Lapland. The aim is to boost sustainable tourism, strengthen local identity and attract families, couples and active travellers throughout the year.

In the neighboring Castilla‑La Mancha region, the town of Mota del Cuervo in Cuenca is being promoted as a rural tourism destination. The municipality is noted for its historic windmills set in the Sierra de los Molinos, traditional white‑washed architecture, local festivals dedicated to the Virgen de Manjavacas, and culinary specialties. The official tourism portal highlights hiking routes, interpretive spaces and cultural events that showcase the town’s medieval roots and agricultural heritage, positioning it as a key stop for visitors seeking authentic Manchego experiences.
