Segway Navimow i208 LiDAR 800 Wins German Robot Mower Test

A Gardena Sileno City 250 robot mower in Germany stopped working after its boundary wire signal became weak. The owner discovered a broken cable near the charging station, repaired it with connectors, and restored the signal, allowing the mower to operate again.

In a separate German review, IMTEST evaluated the latest robot mowers and named the Segway Navimow i208 LiDAR 800 the overall winner for its precise cutting, reliable obstacle detection, and extensive anti‑theft features. The Bosch Visimow 18V‑100 was highlighted as the best value. The test noted that modern mowers no longer need a physical perimeter wire, relying instead on sensors, GPS, and LiDAR for navigation.
