Segway Navimow unveils H5 Pro robotic mower with edge-cutting arm at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026, Segway Navimow unveiled the H5 Pro, a robotic lawn mower designed to eliminate the need for manual edge trimming. The device features the EdgeMaestro technology, an extendable robotic arm that moves the cutting disc up to 7.7 cm outward to reach edges, walls, and flower beds. Unlike many competitors that use separate trimming modules, the H5 Pro uses its primary cutting disc for both the main lawn and the perimeter, ensuring a consistent cut.

The H5 Pro is equipped with an omnidirectional floating arm to handle uneven terrain and an EdgeSense 2.0 algorithm to distinguish between hard boundaries like walls and soft edges like garden beds. For navigation, it utilizes a combination of LiDAR, cameras, and RTK positioning to operate without perimeter wires. The mower also includes thermal sensors to detect and avoid small animals, such as hedgehogs, and features all-wheel drive capable of handling slopes up to 80 percent.

Other manufacturers at the event, such as Mammotion, also showcased advancements in edge-cutting technology. Mammotion introduced the Luba 4 AWD, which offers a specialized edge-cutting module and a Tri-Fusion navigation system combining 360-degree LiDAR, quad-vision cameras, and NetRTK to maintain precision in complex environments.
