Segway unveils Ninebot Max G3 Pro electric scooter
Segway has unveiled the Ninebot Max G3 Pro, an upgraded flagship electric scooter designed for long-distance travel. The new model features an 899 Wh battery, which the company claims provides a range of up to 80 km at a speed of 25 km/h, or 100 km at 20 km/h depending on the specific regional configuration.
To address consumer concerns regarding battery life accuracy, Segway is introducing a new ‘Range at Max. Speed’ testing standard. This method tests each driving mode at its maximum speed until the scooter's velocity drops below 60% of that speed, aiming to provide more realistic and verifiable range estimates compared to traditional eco-mode testing.
Technical improvements in the Max G3 Pro include rear turn signals, GPS tracking for Android devices, and updated tires. The company also announced plans to improve customer support and expand its dealer network to facilitate easier repairs. The model was presented in Cologne and Paris, with availability expected in various European markets.
