Sehon Marshall disputes dismissal from college lecturing role
Barrister and social commentator Sehon Marshall has raised concerns regarding victimisation following his abrupt dismissal from an adjunct lecturing position at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College.
Mr. Marshall stated that the college approached him to serve as a part-time lecturer for its law faculty. After a week of email discussions, he was provided with schedules and courses. He spent time preparing materials and PowerPoint presentations before delivering his first lecture.
Hours after his initial lecture, the college's Human Resources department sent an email stating the institution had decided to ‘go in a different direction’ and would not continue the arrangement. Mr. Marshall noted that no specific explanation was provided for the decision and that he received no payment for his engagement.
