Sehore: Three children drown in rainwater-filled pit

Three children, including two brothers, died after drowning in a rainwater-filled pit in the Ichhawar area of Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday.

The incident occurred near Mogra Road around 1:00 PM while the children were playing. According to police, the children entered the pit to bathe, but were unable to escape due to its significant depth. The deceased have been identified as 12-year-old Prashant, his 10-year-old brother Prithviraj, and 11-year-old Dikshant. All three were residents of Ward Number 12 in Ichhawar.

Local residents discovered the bodies floating in the water and alerted the authorities. Additional Superintendent of Police Prashant Choubey stated that the police have recovered the bodies and sent them to a hospital for post-mortem examination. An investigation is underway to examine all aspects of the incident, including whether any negligence contributed to the deaths.
