Sei Lekop Cracker Industry Center wins national halal award
The Sei Lekop Cracker Industry Center in East Bintan has been named the national first-place winner in the Best Halal Industry Supporting IKM Center Management category at the 2026 Indonesia Halal Industry Awards (IHYA). The award was presented by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, to Dian Erfanita, the supervisor of the Sei Lekop Cracker Industry Center Cooperative, during the Halal Indo 2026 event in Jakarta.
The selection process involved 1,091 participants from various sectors of the national halal ecosystem, including large industries, small and medium industries (IKM), industrial zones, and financial services institutions. Following document verification, self-assessments of 374 participants, and judging of 97 finalists, the jury identified the Sei Lekop center as a progressive manager. Key strengths included mass halal certification assistance for members, production hygiene, institutional strengthening, and the integration of halal certification with Domestic Component Level (TKDN) standards.
The Ministry of Industry utilizes IHYA as a tool to strengthen the national halal industry ecosystem ahead of the mandatory halal certification requirement set for October 18, 2026, which will cover sectors such as food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and textiles.
