Seia Municipality seeks clarity on medical emergency reforms

The Seia Municipality has formally requested clarifications from the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) regarding the ongoing national reform of the medical emergency system.

The municipal executive seeks to understand how these changes will impact the Seia region and the Serra da Estrela area. A primary concern involves the coordination between existing resources, specifically the Immediate Life Support (SIV) ambulance provided by Hospital Nossa Senhora da Assunção and the INEM post maintained by the Seia Volunteer Firefighters. The local government emphasized that the equipment and technical staff for these two structures differ, necessitating clear operational guidelines to ensure effective public service.
