Seiko and Honda Release Limited‑Edition Motocompo Watch

Seiko has launched the Seiko 5 Sports Motocompo Limited Edition, a collaboration with Honda that commemorates the 45th anniversary of the Honda Motocompo folding scooter. The 36.4 mm field‑size watch, model HDB010, houses Seiko’s automatic 4R36 calibre with a 41‑hour power reserve and features a yellow dial, a “TURN” crown and scooter‑inspired markings. Production is capped at 8,000 pieces and the watch will be priced at GBP 340 (about €390) when it becomes available in September 2026. The design echoes the original Motocompo’s compact dimensions and colour scheme, and the case‑back includes an engraved serial number and a nod to the scooter’s heritage.

The Motocompo, introduced in 1981 as a 49 cc two‑stroke scooter that could fold to fit in a Honda City’s boot, has become a cult icon among enthusiasts. Seiko’s limited edition translates that nostalgia into a wearable form, targeting collectors and watch fans who appreciate the blend of automotive history and horological craftsmanship.
