Seiko expands Prospex Speedtimer line with new models
Seiko has expanded its Prospex Speedtimer collection with four new models that blend 1970s motorsport-inspired aesthetics with contemporary movement technology. The release includes two automatic chronographs and two three-hand watches featuring internal countdown bezels.
The automatic chronographs, models HBD001 and HBD002, feature 42 mm stainless steel cases with super-hard coating and sapphire crystal. Both utilize the caliber 8R48 automatic movement, which provides a 45-hour power reserve. The HBD001 features a light blue textured dial with a stainless steel bracelet, while the HBD002 offers a warm silver dial paired with a grey leather strap. Suggested prices are approximately $3,224 and $3,108, respectively.
The collection also introduces the HBC003 and HBC004, which are three-hand watches rather than traditional chronographs. These models utilize an internal 60-minute countdown scale operated by a second crown located at the four o’clock position. The HBC003 features a powder-blue dial with orange accents, while the HBC004 utilizes a petrol-blue dial and an embossed leather strap designed to reference vintage car interiors.
