Seiko launches Motocompo limited‑edition watch and Edo Purple collection

Seiko has unveiled a new Seiko 5 Sports Motocompo Limited Edition watch that pays tribute to Honda's 1981 folding motorcycle. The 36.4 mm stainless‑steel case features a bright yellow dial, a grey horizontal stripe mirroring the bike’s livery, and the Honda logo at the 9 o’clock position. The watch uses Hardlex crystal and a transparent red‑tinted case back that shows the motorcycle silhouette.

To mark its 145th anniversary, Seiko is also releasing an "Edo Purple" collection across several lines. The range includes an Alpinist model with a 6R55 calibre, a Presage Cocktail Time GMT with a 4R34 calibre, and a 5 Sports SKX version with a 4R36 calibre. Each piece is limited to 6,000–7,000 units, features violet‑toned dials inspired by Edo‑era Tokyo, and offers water resistance from 5 to 20 bar.
