Seiko releases limited‑edition Presage and Prospex watches for 145th anniversary

Seiko commemorated its 145th anniversary by unveiling four limited‑edition models. The Presage line introduced two dress watches: one featuring an Urakawa‑glazed porcelain dial crafted by master potter Hiroyuki Hashiguchi, and another with a white‑glazed "shiro-neri" dial. Both models use the automatic Cal. 6R51 movement with a 72‑hour power reserve and are limited to 1,500‑2,500 pieces worldwide.

The Prospex line added two diver watches that trace the heritage of the brand’s 1965 dive model. One version carries a blue‑accented bezel and a Cal. 6R55 movement, water‑resistant to 300 m; the other uses a Cal. 4R35 movement with 200 m resistance. Production is capped at 4,000‑9,999 pieces. Prices range from ¥130,000 to ¥192,500.

A special Presage edition also collaborates with the Gunma‑based Furukawa Silk Promotion Organization, using the region’s rare "Gunma‑hosoi" silk as design inspiration and donating a portion of sales to support local textile heritage.
