Seine-Saint-Denis: Prosecutor seeks 14 years for former instructor accused of raping disabled workers
Prosecutors in Bobigny have requested a 14-year prison sentence for Ahmed M., a former instructor at a vocational support establishment (Esat) in Aulnay-sous-Bois. The nearly 50-year-old man is accused of a series of rapes, sexual assaults, aggravated violence, and acts of torture or barbarism against nine men with cognitive disabilities.
During the trial in Seine-Saint-Denis, the public prosecutor highlighted the fear and silencing experienced by the victims. The prosecution characterized the defendant's actions as involving threats and sadism. While the prosecution seeks a sentence accompanied by socio-judicial monitoring and mandatory care, the defendant has consistently denied all allegations. The defense has raised concerns regarding alleged flaws in the investigation.
