Regional infrastructure and urban maintenance projects underway
Various regional infrastructure and maintenance projects are underway across Portugal and Brazil. In Bragança, Portugal, the municipality and the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) signed a one-million-euro protocol to requalify the Fervença River and the Polis area, aiming to improve water quality and biodiversity.

Transportation updates include maintenance on the BR-101 highway in Rio de Janeiro state, which may cause delays, and VLT construction in Salvador, causing nighttime closures on the BR-324. Additionally, traffic data for Rio de Janeiro indicates a 1.3% increase in vehicle movement in August 2026 compared to the previous year.
