Seishin Chuo Family Festa uses community fun to promote disaster preparedness

The Seishin Chuo Family Festa, held on September 12–13, 2026, at Seishin Chuo Plenty Plaza in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, drew approximately 2,000 visitors. Organized by Sosen-sha with operational support from COMMON Co., Ltd., the event served as a social experiment to integrate disaster preparedness awareness into routine family entertainment.

In collaboration with the Hyogo Prefecture Disaster Prevention Division and SoftBank Corp., the event featured a disaster preparedness booth where attendees could interact with emergency supplies and learn about “rolling stock” methods. The festival also included ice cream food trucks, children’s carnival games, and hands-on workshops such as bear art creation and ice glass making to attract families who might not typically attend formal disaster drills.
