Seixal shooting leaves two men injured near nightclub

Two men were injured by gunfire in the early hours of Friday near a nightclub in Amora, Seixal. According to the Public Security Police (PSP), one victim sustained a wound to the right arm and the other to the left leg. Both individuals were transported to Garcia de Orta Hospital and are not in life-threatening condition.

The Judicial Police have taken responsibility for the investigation. In response to the incident, the Socialist Party in Seixal issued a statement calling for enhanced urban security. The party proposed an emergency package including the creation of a Municipal Police force, increased video surveillance in sensitive areas, the deployment of night guards, and improvements to public lighting.
