Sejm Marshal Czarzasty retires explosives-detection dog Cobra

Włodzimierz Czarzasty, the Marshal of the Sejm, has officially signed the retirement papers for Cobra, an explosives-detection dog that served with the Marshal's Guard for eight years. During the ceremony, Czarzasty noted the dog's exemplary service record and lack of disciplinary issues, remarking, “You never barked in the Sejm.”

Cobra's departure marks the end of a long period of service protecting the Polish Parliament and its staff. The dog will be succeeded by other members of the guard, including Chuck, who has served for four years, as well as Hela and Lui, who are currently undergoing training. These dogs play a critical role in the security system of the parliamentary buildings by detecting explosive materials.
