Sejong University students hold Korea-Japan innovation camp in Osaka

Students from Sejong University, Nihon University, and Kansai University participated in the 3rd Korea-Japan Global Innovation Camp held in Osaka, Japan. Organized by the HUSS Risk Society Consortium at Sejong University, the program focused on identifying and addressing social issues through field research.

Participants visited the KOTRA Osaka office to learn about support policies for domestic companies entering the Japanese market. They also attended a lecture on Japanese business succession culture, specifically the ‘muko-yoshi’ (son-in-law adoption) system, and visited the manufacturing company OPK to observe its management philosophy and production processes.

Collaborative team projects addressed regional challenges in the Kansai area, including overtourism, gentrification in traditional markets, and the revitalization of local tourism. Students utilized digital technologies, such as generative AI, to propose solutions for mitigating the impact of excessive tourist concentrations in popular destinations.
