SEJuN demands security following judicial protests

The Neuquén Judicial Employees Union (SEJuN) has taken a firm stance following incidents involving protests related to the Alexandra Sabio and Claude Staicos case. The union reported that the conflict has moved toward judicial buildings, creating an increasingly complex environment for staff.

SEJuN highlighted concerns regarding worker safety, noting that employees face uncertainty regarding their ability to enter and exit workplaces safely. The union cited an incident where more than 50 workers were reportedly prevented from leaving the Superior Court of Justice for over an hour. Additionally, the union reported instances of insults, threats, and the throwing of eggs during demonstrations.

While defending the right to protest, SEJuN rejected violence and aggression against workers. The union requested immediate security measures from the Superior Court of Justice and urged magistrates to use institutional tools to advance the legal case within established guarantees. SEJuN emphasized that office staff and secretariats are not responsible for judicial resolutions or the timing of legal decisions.
