Sekonda launches new Smart Ring to expand wearable technology portfolio
British watch brand Sekonda has launched its first Smart Ring, expanding its wearable technology portfolio into the smart ring category. The stainless-steel device is designed as a jewellery-inspired alternative to smartwatches and is available in gold and silver finishes across six sizes.
The ring tracks various health and wellbeing metrics, including sleep quality, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, stress signals, skin temperature trends, and women’s cycle tracking. It features a battery life of five to seven days and is water-resistant up to 50m. Data can be synced with Apple Health and Health Connect.
Positioned as a more affordable option, the device has a retail price of £79.99 and does not require a monthly subscription fee. Each unit includes a charging case, USB cable, and a silicone protective cover. Sekonda CEO Pete Ogley stated that the product aims to provide health insights through a discreet piece of jewellery without a premium price tag.
